The Check-Ins supplement the ongoing training options of Chekhov Studio Chicago and welcome all who are interested.

Investigate your roles in a new light and connect to text in an organic way that opens the meaning to you and enables you to express the inner life in performance. Create dynamic and truthful characters working with the imagination. Class will prepare to perform at a Studio Showcase following end of class.

Can be taken concurrently with the Essentials class if you are a returning student.

Originally called the Studio of the Moving Dock Theatre Company, we opened our doors in September 2003 at the Fine Arts Building in downtown Chicago. We changed our name to better reflect our mission to offer the Chekhov Technique in Chicago.
