Other Info | Playing in the World of “Divergent” – Adult Workshop Saturday, March 23, 10-4PM w/lunch break This themed acting workshop explores the imaginary world of Veronica Roth’s hit novel, Divergent just in time as Chicago prepares for the upcoming filming of the book this spring in our fair city! Are you Divergent? Erudite? Candor? Amity? Abnegation? Create characters from the book (or characters you invent based on the book), create the atmosphere and world of Divergent with the ensemble, improvise scenes, invent original dialogue or bring your favorite passages from the book alive. Spend a day in another world and expand your acting skill at the same time. This is the Michael Chekhov Acting Technique in action, combining original adaptation work, ensemble work, lots of creative movement, and improvisation – all the things The Moving Dock Theatre Company loves to do. The workshop is lead by Dawn Arnold, Certified Michael Chekhov Technique Teacher. Yes, each actor MUST have read Divergent! Participant Fee: $85 Register by March 16! (Scroll down to registration at the bottom of this page). Observer fee: $5 Afternoon only (2-4PM) |
