This six week class will introduce you to the principles and process of the Michael Chekhov Acting Technique. Develop the Actor’s Body, discover how to awaken inner connections, and ask the questions that bring a character to life. Actors will work as an ensemble, with partners, and with solo concentration. Throughout the sessions, short scenes will be created out of improvisations. Actors will work with monologues from a play, film script, or musical, looking at text analysis in an engaged way and developing characters. PUT IT TOGETHER! Work on your actor body and technique on Mondays and your audition monologues on Tuesdays in the Audition Lab Class. Take both classes together to get focused. Actors will benefit from relating the work of these two classes and making the extra commitment to their artistic and professional development.
